Best of Plans

So Dan and I are going to be proactive and get the packing under control.  This flight to Lima was booked with several stops and the last one before Lima was Miami.  It is all on the same itinerary.  I was sure they would check our bags directly to Lima so we needed clothes for overnight and essentials.  After much discussion accomplished.  

So our private driver dropped us off and we check in and find out that we have to pick up our bags in Miami and recheck them to Lima the next day. So much for traveling light.  Our day in Miami we planned to see some gardens and with just a backpack and then to the airport at right before flight.

Well we did get to the 2 out of the 3 planned gardens just needed to detour back to the hotel for the bags.  Dan is actually getting pretty comfortable with Uber and Lyft.  The up side of the day is we have to get to the airport early and sine we are on business class we get to use the frequent flyer lounge.  Great place for lunch and a glass of wine before boarding

The weather in Miami was a surprise for us.  Hot and humid. Not a surprise for them.  Walking around the gardens we were drenched.  Not sure if we will be using that set of clothes for 3 days.  This may just be a prelude to the Amazon.

On the trip to Lima we learned that flights with only first class and coach is the best way to fly business class.  They actually treat you better.  Noise canceling earphones a little “goodie” bag with socks tooth brush and paste etc.  not to mention a full size pillow and blanket.

We will stay the night at the hotel near the airport and off again to the northern part of the country.
