Customer Service

Okay finally get settled into the hotel.  It turns out Peru is actually on Central time since they don’t do daylight savings  time.  Had to call down to the desk to really check the time.   So customer service is okay. A free drink or bottle of water. Then we settle in a get a telephone call at 1:30 in the am.  This is about 30 minutes after I finally fall asleep to see if the room is okay.   It was okay until I was woken up  Not sure why the call.  The joys of hotels

Okay up at 6 to make sure we make the flight.  Navigating a foreign airport is always a challenge and the last time we were here we almost missed the flight.  Triple checked the gate listened to the Spanish announcements ready to line up and board and I can’t find my passport.  Double checked everything and finally located it in a zipped pocket in my backpack.  Why are we trying to be safe???

Good news is we aren’t on the last bus that will take us to the plane.  Still room in the overhead for Dan’s bag. We are off to the northern part of Peru and the cloud forest.  Lots of flowers and waterfalls.  We shall see.  No sun today.  Heavy cloud cover but no rain😃
