Guide secured and more hotel challenges

So after lunch and a nap we went over to the bar. The bar is open all day although the dining room is only open set hours for breakfast lunch and dinner (7:30-9:00pm). Of course, no brandy although on the menu and a couple of other things they are out of.  Plenty of beer.  I have my pisco sour which was very good but a little sweet and Dan his rum and coke.  No diet since I had the last one.

The resort has been quiet all afternoon but at about 5pm is comes alive.   There are probably 30 kids in the pool.  Also another group has returned from tours.  I go into the office and again ask about the guide and 1 minute later enters “Juan Carlos”.  We have scheduled 2 days not sure what we will do with the 3rd day we have.  Hopefully we shall see the town.  There has to be at least a church.  Tomorrow we will go to the waterfall and the hot and cool pools.  According to my reading there are several waterfalls and one is a short 10-15 minute walk the other is a 45 minute hike.  More about that tomorrow.

Since this is a resort and we are way out of town we eat all our meals here. This will make it easier to check out and they will take our credit cards.  Our room is small with 2 twin beds.   There is little lightning so it appears dark.   There is a TV and the air conditioning works great. The shower has lots of hot water since there is a tank in the room.   There is a small closet and dresser not a lot of room for clothes.   The shower is a little bit of a challenge in that I had more water on the floor instead of the shower.  More tomorrow
